Am I highly sensitive?

This is the test that Elaine N. Aron proposes in her book "Highly sensitive, Better understand yourself to accept yourself" . Elaine N. Aron is a psychotherapist, psychology researcher and university lecturer. After suffering from her own highly sensitivity for years, it was at the end of a therapy that she discovered that her sensitivity was above average and that this explained many of her behaviors. This understanding of herself is a real relief that now allows her to share a social life and to share the fruits of her research with all those who, like her, share this characteristic.

How to evaluate your result :

If you answered Yes to 12 or more questions, you are probably highly sensitive. That said, no psychological test is 100% reliable and I invite you to trust your feelings because even if you only answered in the affirmative to 10 questions but it is a yes particularly intense, perhaps you could call yourself highly sensitive.

For my part, I consider that the following lines, taken from Elaine N. Aron's book, are the most symptomatic of highly sensitivity: "This increased awareness of the subtle world makes us intuitive beings, who process information in a semi- conscious, even unconscious, Very often, we “know”, without understanding why or how. Furthermore, this deeper processing of subtle details encourages us to question more about the past or the future. We “know” why the situation. has evolved in this or that way, we “know” what is going to happen. It’s this “sixth sense” that we talk about so much.”
